πŸ“£ Program Overview

The Marsh Creek Eagles Cheer Program is proud to be part of Pop Warner Little Scholars and the Bux-Mont League. Our cheer program gives athletes the opportunity to cheer on the sidelines for football games while also learning routines that may be performed at exhibitions and competitions.

Our program focuses on fun, teamwork, and skill development, helping athletes build confidence, friendships, and strong cheer fundamentals. Younger teams focus on learning the basics in a non-competitive environment, while older teams may compete with the opportunity to advance to Regional and National competitions.

Team placement is based on athlete age as of July 14, 2026.

πŸ“… Season Structure

Conditioning (August)

All teams complete 10 hours of conditioning before the official practice season begins.

Typical schedule:
First three full weeks of August
Monday – Thursday evenings

Practices

After conditioning:

Non-Competitive Teams

  • Practice 2 nights per week

Competitive Teams

  • Practice 2–3 nights per week

August practices are held at Fellowship Fields.
Beginning in September, teams move to indoor practice space when available.


πŸ“£ What Cheerleaders Do

During the season, cheerleaders will:

β€’ Cheer on the sidelines at 6–8 football games
β€’ Learn a routine for Bux-Mont Competition and/or Exhibition
β€’ Perform at Bux-Mont Competition and/or Exhibition in late September or early October

Competitive teams that place in the top tier may advance to:

β€’ Pop Warner Eastern Regionals (November)
β€’ Pop Warner Nationals (December – Charlotte, NC)


πŸ’° Registration & Program Costs

Marsh Creek Eagles is a 100% volunteer-run organization. Registration fees help cover the costs associated with running the program, including:

β€’ Custom cheer uniforms
β€’ Field and practice facility rentals
β€’ Insurance coverage
β€’ Pop Warner national dues
β€’ Bux-Mont league fees
β€’ Music licensing for routines
β€’ Competition entry fees
β€’ Equipment replacement and maintenance

Payment Options

β€’ Family Discount applied after the first two children (Cheer or Football)
β€’ Spirit Day raffle tickets can help offset registration costs


🎟 Spirit Day Raffle

Each athlete receives 50 Spirit Day raffle tickets valued at $10 each ($500 total).

Families may sell these tickets to help offset registration fees.
You keep the money from the tickets you sell.

Prizes drawn during Spirit Day include:

β€’ Spirit wear
β€’ Gift cards
β€’ Cash prizes

Winners do not need to be present to win.

Registration includes:

β€’ Custom cheer uniform
β€’ MCE insurance coverage
β€’ Practice facility costs

Families Must Purchase

β€’ Cheer shoes (uniform shoes must be purchased separately)


🎽 Spirit Wear

While not required, many cheerleaders enjoy purchasing optional Marsh Creek Eagles spirit wear, including:

β€’ Warm-up jackets
β€’ Backpacks
β€’ Additional team apparel

Spirit wear is available throughout the season.


⭐ Team Expectations

Cheerleading is a team sport, and teams perform best when everyone is present and prepared.

Athletes are expected to:

β€’ Attend all practices and games unless there is an approved absence
β€’ Demonstrate respect, teamwork, and sportsmanship
β€’ Support teammates and coaches
β€’ Represent the Marsh Creek Eagles in a positive manner


πŸ” Refund Policy

If a cheerleader withdraws after June 1, refunds will be reduced by $250 to cover the cost of the custom uniform.
